Description: Early Drifter speedometers were analog with a cable. Many folks reported broken cables. Here's the info.

The Drifter with analog gauge package seems plagued by a "broken speedometer cable" syndrome. Well, the fix is in folks.
Bill Says,

The problem is the that the Drifter cable is stressed every time we get in the throttle. The Drifter with it's FI fully extends the front forks when you grab a hand full of throttle. Just get the speedo cable for the Nomad, it is about 4" longer and will no put stress on it when grabbing a hand full.
