If I can't find a good used/rebuilt engine I might have to part out my '99

Chief - some feedback on the windscreen:
- was the exact match to what came on my 2002;
- same dot 202/AS6 M18 markings as the original one, which was dated APR 04 2002
- in disassembling the original, the outboard holes in the horizontal cross bars were fitted with washers that seamed to be half gasket material and half cellophane plastic. They were the only holes with washers...I installed neoprene washers from the hardware store @ 0.40 each.
- the only other marking on the original hardware was on the inside of the horizontal cross bar which was stamped 320600, which might help others identify the harware that goes to these windscreens.
- the hardware pieces are unique to the shape of this windscreen, so you have to have the right ones, or be an exceptional fabricator.
- rode today with screen installed...very nice, no turbulence or wind in the wrong places...fits the shape of the headlight very well.
- So it's the real deal at a reasonable price - thanks.
